ABOUT US
The Lee Republican Women Federated (LRWF) club was chartered in 1986 by 11 strong women with a vision for Republican women in Lee County.  Our founding mothers were determined to create a group of members with shared goals and ideals, and they were willing to engage with the community at a grassroots level to encourage Republican women to make a difference.  The amazing trailblazers that founded LRWF were: Virginia Allen, Ann Bassine, Leah Bucher, GE Dunlap, Laura Fernandez, Florence Fricke, Elizabeth Harman, Sterling Jones, Judi Kinzler, Phyllis Mahoney and Bea Naylor.  Today LRWF has 160 plus members and is strong and growing.

LRWF is a chartered club of the Florida Federation of Republican Women (FFRW).  FFRW was chartered in 1950 and is comprised of over 50 clubs throughout the state.  FFRW is affiliated with the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), a grassroots organization of around 100,000 women throughout the country that support Republican candidates and issues at all levels of government.

LRWF members are a powerful network of ladies throughout Lee County who produce results in elections.  We pride ourselves on our efforts to empower Republican women of all ages and backgrounds to participate in all areas of the political arena.  We support the FFRW goal to strengthen the Republican party and work hard to influence the crucial issues that face our community, state and nation.  We provide our members with unparalleled education on the political process and current issues through our monthly meetings and  featured speaker program where elected officials, political candidates, analysts and professionals share their unique knowledge.

Our members are active in our community and several hold elected positions both at local and state levels.  We commit our volunteer efforts toward assisting the GOP with electing qualified Republicans to office and promoting Republican initiatives. We work for both primary and general elections, man Republican headquarters, host voter registration drives and candidate forums, walk door to door and make thousands of phone calls.  The FFRW recently recognized our club as the most productive club in Florida during Governor Rick Scott’s 2014 re-election campaign.

LRWF members give back to the community through both contributions and volunteerism.  For 2015 the club has focused  their efforts on supporting local families and veterans, working with Lifeline Family Center and Invest in America’s Veterans Foundation.

Our founding Mothers had a vision and we thank them for their foresight and guidance.  Lee Republican Women Federated has proven to be a home for conservative leaders.
