On Feb. 26, 2012, Brigitte Gabriel addressed an audience of 2,200 at Naples First Baptist Church.  Members of LRWF attended the event.  Ms. Gabriel is a New York Times best selling author and founder of ACT! for America, an organization created to defeat radical Islam in the wake of the 9-11 attacks.  Collier County Sheriff’s personnel and canines were present at the venue due to security risks.  

 

Ms. Gabriel, a former broadcaster who is fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, French, and English, recounted how radical Islam had destroyed the open, westernized society of her birthplace Lebanon, the only Mid-East country with a Christian majority.  She reviewed the history of Islamic terrorism against America, from the 1980s to the present, noting that since President Obama’s inauguration, 75 home grown terrorists have been arrested.  Ms. Gabriel addressed the question, “Why do they hate us?”  The answer lies in a radical Islamic organization founded in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood, whose objective is to restore the Muslim Caliphate, that is, a global Islamic empire.  The Muslim Brotherhood has spawned at least 70 offshoots, including Al Qaeda.  In 1982, the Muslim Brotherhood authored a one hundred year plan called “The Project” to achieve its global goal, and in 1991 wrote “The Project for North America,” which is a blueprint for the destruction of the United States as we know it.

 

The Project for North America discusses tactics and proposals for establishing Islam over all other religions, including the following:

– using like-minded liberal organizations, such as the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) and CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations)

– How to create nonprofit organizations to further The Project

– How to get Muslims elected to public office

– How to infiltrate every segment of society

 

An alarming aspect of The Project for North America is a campaign of stealth jihad and sabotage being waged to win American youth to radical Islam.  Saudis have donated many millions of dollars to US universities, funding radical political science and Islamic studies programs.  Ms. Gabriel reported that the university programs have been so successful that high school and middle school students are now being targeted.  She described a national public school study project that required students to choose Muslim names, visit a Mosque, recite Muslim prayers, don Muslim attire, and observe Ramadan.  The audience was shocked to hear that this program was adopted in Collier County.

 

Fighting back against radical Muslims, ACT! for America has 670 chapters, 185,00 members, and a full-time lobbyist in Washington, DC.  Its goal is to recruit one million members.
